Hello Everyone,

I am known in my town as “Stan The Wine Man”. I am also known for finding excellent values in wine and passing it on to my customer. My goal has always been to take the “snob” out of wine by making people comfortable with their own palate preferences. I believe that wine is an individual sport and the only thing that should matter to you is what you like. However, I also encourage everyone to experiment and never allow your taste in wine to become static. I hope this blog will help you in your search for a good wine and encourage you to be brave in the face of the wine snob that I am sure you will encounter. Cheers! Stan The Wine Man

  1. Stan, I really enjoyed reading “Let’s Even the Score” on your blog. In the process of learning about wine, and trying to understanding wine reviews and wine scoring, I found your straightforward breakdown tremendously helpful. As you pointed out, the subjective nature of deciding what I like, and determining what the general public may like, is key, and the task seems very tricky. You broke it down for me very well. In our conversations, you mentioned your list of the ‘top five questions’ one should ask a customer looking to choose a wine, and I’d like to read that entry. Can you please direct me to it? Thanks, and cheers!

I’ve found myself here several times before while looking various things. I appreciate the detailed articles you write, and in some instances this is the ONLY place I can even find them. Cheers

  3. Stan, I want to sign up for your blog, but I can not find the place to do so. How do I get registered.

Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.
