Soft structured tannins, support notes of currant, leather and cherry notes on the palate. A heavy dose of tobacco joins the party on the mid-palate leading into a finish of minerals, cherries and currants. This little gem features enough fruit to satisfy the new world palate, and enough old world attitude to satisfy the rest. I realize not everyone will like this, but for the price, I think this is a steal, and an above average wine. 85% Merlot, 10% Carmenere and 5% Petit Verdot.
