This little gem blew me out of the water for the money and it makes the perfect red for grilling, which I know a lot of you are doing that with this great weather. So, what did I find this month from the land of Tempranillo&#8230; Rioja.<br \/>\n<div id=\"attachment_1788\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/stanthewineman.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/101_3235.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1788\" src=\"http:\/\/stanthewineman.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/101_3235-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"May 2015 Pick Of The Month.\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1788\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1788\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">May 2015 Pick Of The Month.<\/p><\/div><br \/>\n<strong>2011 Vina Zaco Tempranillo (Rioja, Spain)&#8230; $12.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aromas of violets, caramel, Cinnamon Imperials, tobacco and baked earth. There is a creamy element on the palate, which I know a lot will like. Notes of currants, spice and pepper come through with a background of violets and a healthy dose of tobacco. Seamless flow across the palate with good balance and structure. It shows its old world side with a touch of rusticity joining the polished element. Finishes with earth notes joining the dark fruits and white pepper notes that linger.
